Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
1. What we collect
We collect the information you provide when creating an account (email address) and the content you submit when running studies (product descriptions, design URLs, research questions). We also collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) and first-party analytics via anonymous usage events.
We do not collect payment card details — all billing is handled by Stripe and subject to their privacy policy.
2. How we use your data
We use your data to provide and improve the Synthia service: to generate AI-powered research panels, store your study history, and calculate your plan usage. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your study content to train AI models beyond the single inference request you initiate.
3. AI-generated content
Synthia generates synthetic personas and research outputs using third-party AI providers (Together AI). Your study inputs — market selection, demographic filters, research questions, and design URLs — are transmitted to these providers to generate responses. No real user data is collected from your end-users. All personas are AI-generated and do not represent any real individual.
4. Data retention
Study data and reports are retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after cancellation, after which they are permanently deleted. You can delete individual studies or your entire account at any time from your account settings.
5. Third-party services
Synthia uses the following third-party services: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Together AI (language model inference), Vercel (hosting and edge functions). Each service has its own privacy policy and data processing agreements.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR (and similar regulations), you have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data. To make a data subject request, email privacy@trysynthia.com. We respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
